Your responsibilities – solution-oriented and diverse:

• As a competent contact person, you will handle all customs-related questions arising from customers, authorities and internal departments.
• Allocation and organisation of transportation (road, air and sea freight) to customers in Germany, the EU and third countries, as well as from suppliers.
• Processing of shipping orders in compliance with company-specific, country-specific and customer-specific regulations.
• Preparation and provision of all documents required for shipping, as well as handling customs formalities (delivery notes, packing lists, invoices).
• Handling of imports, including the preparation of customs and export documents (e.g. transport and warehouse documents, insurance policies and accompanying documents).
• Handling of claims and letters of credit.
• Maintenance of systems and master data (SAP/R3).

Your profile – qualified and competent for this interesting and varied position:

• Completed commercial training as a freight forwarding clerk, industrial clerk, wholesale and foreign trade management clerk, or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in shipping/logistics.
• Extensive practical experience in preparing customs declarations.
• Knowledge of customs, preferential and foreign trade law.
• Knowledge of export control requirements and determination of the origin of goods.
• Good IT skills (MS Office tools, ERP system – ideally SAP).
• Customer communication in writing in German and English.
• Very independent, reliable, structured, deadline-oriented and solution-oriented way of working.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
